IEP

Last night, after school, we had THE most productive and positive IEP meeting of our son's entire public school experience.

Seriously!

We were given the cleanest document this district has ever produced!

The team was energized and focused. We discussed goals and objectives, some he'll reach, some probably not...... we talked about strategies for getting there....both at school and at home.

It was so nice to feel that team atmosphere and so long overdue! He's in 4th grade for crying out loud! 

About time you all got on board!

This new team is young and energetic....still fired up about what they do and the kids they work with. 

Such a breath of fresh air.

Now, don't worry,....I realize how fleeting this may be. The year is quickly drawing to a close...and fresh, young, energetic team members usually move along come June to get their own lives going.....but this is why I must savor this time.

Sit and just allow my soul to steep in it for a bit. After so many, many years of fighting...oops! I mean advocating for my son....it's nice to finally feel a titch of trust.

Not too much....don't go overboard on me!

Just a bit....so maybe, just maybe...I can let my guard down a smidge...
